>> Obama has good ideas and one hell of an ability to sell them

People who are good judges of character wouldn't give Obama a second thought. My wife and I watched him make his big speech at the prior D. convention and both concluded he was a great speaker, but a snake-oil salesman. We have been proven correct beyond our wildest expectations.

There were many who believed he was a moderate. But if you look at who voted for him and really won the election for him you find a few large blocks --

a) Blacks;

b) Hard leftwingers who saw him for what he was and liked it; and

c) Inexperienced, gullible people who believed he was a moderate.

It is block (c) that put him over the top -- we knew (a) and (b) would support him. I had hoped some of the (c) group would wake up before the election. People like you and Michael, who apparently quit posting here out of embarrassment, are in that group.

You live and learn. I voted for Jimmy Carter when I was young and foolish. With that on my record, I cannot really complain about people getting sucked in. But it is something you don't do twice.
