I didn't quit posting here out of embarrassment. Rather, I took my posting over to the Politics of Energy thread, since really all I care about is this country's energy future, because it is the nexus of all the important issues this country faces.

I still think Obama is a good leader and President. He is exactly the right man for the job at this point in this country's history. He's a moderate on some things, the military for example, however, he's no moderate on nation building at home. I'm all for that. We've spent far too much time and money nation building in other countries. It's time we spent our hard earned money on ourselves for a change.

The GOP had 8 years, 6 of which they had majorities in both houses. They had their chance to govern and right or wrong, the American people decided they didn't like what the GOP was doing. I am in that camp. I like the ideas the Dems have, especially wrt renewable energy. The GOP has the wrong ideas when it comes to renewable energy, which is my top issue. As such, I could no longer vote for the GOP. It was pretty much that simple.
