I saw a great show on PBS i think it was Frontline that exposed the whole thing. There is a little known Govt agency that polices the derivatives market. A gung ho woman got appointed to the job and tried desperatley to squash the whole thing and highly regulate the derivatives marekt. She saw what they were doing ahead of time. Instead, Alan Greenspan, Larry Sommers and another criminal squashed the whole thing with help form Congress and reduced her and the agencies powers and she resigned. If you see this show, you will conclude that the bubble was made by design from very very high levels.
