hello pezz, today's report:

(i) i could not help myself, feeling the palpable sense of impending financial disaster somewhere for someone by some strange ways, and so i sought salvation by engaging with 1/3 of all the paper gold i had earlier sold (sold at hk$ 10,434/tael), paying my dues at hk$ 10,197/tael (1 tael = 1.2 oz).

i guess my earlier sell was not as sincere as i had figured, and my current buy is not as heart felt as i normally would be.

zig, zag, to, fro, up, down

what fun :0)

(ii) packing, getting ready for decamping island hong kong immediately after christmas to camp at another island, and while here busy ...

... will visit german friend who has made a life on this more desolate island's beach (45min away, 1.4 hectares, including half of the beach, for us$ 20,000 12 years ago) with his chinese wife and two kids ...

and yes, we are bringing sunglasses along, but not much clothing, mainly three changes of swim wear, and something more suitable for the plane trip.

a canadian friend and his family will join us on the cliff abode, and they may go into cultural shock, from the cold to the hot, and converting from daily apples to hour mango shakes :0)

happy holidays, tj
