Brazilian cinema is just entertainment, C2. Like Hollywood, it is not reality.

One of the most shocking and realistic movies about Brazil is one you obviously don't know about. Otherwise, you wouldn't write anything so patently untrue.

Peixote, which I saw many years ago, is a very rude and very realistic awakening, so realistic that the protagonist was murdered a few years after the film was made.

It is decidedly not Hollywood.
