It's Official!
RKRW is the winner of the 2009 Biotech Stock Picking Charity Contest!
According to my Yahoo quote download a few minutes ago, RKRW's slim lead over runner-up NIGEL was a mere $575. Wow!
I will post the final Contest week update shortly, including the Top Ten list.
A hearty Mazel Tov to both RKRW & NIGEL and thanks to all contestants for participating.

As noted in a prior post, I will split my donation between the charities selected by both RKRW & NIGEL. Thanks in large part to the knowledge I've gained from the SI Biotechie community, I've had an excellent year in the market. So I'm upping my total donation to $500 from last year's $400; $300 to RKRW's charity pick and $200 to NIGEL's.
The link to RKRW's charity pick is: casparinc.org
The link to NIGEL's charity pick is: kiva.org
(At the Kiva website you can either join their microfinance program as a lender or make a tax-deductible donation to cover their operating expenses here: kiva.org

As thanks to me for being the Contest score keeper, a few contestants have graciously offered to donate to my charity pick along with that of the Contest winner. If you wish to do so, here's the link:
writercoachconnection.org
As I've previously posted, the WriterCoach Connection sends about 400 volunteer writing coaches (I'm one of them) to middle schools and high schools in Oakland, Berkeley and Albany, California.
(The folks at WCC would like to know why a donation is made. So, if you make a donation, please dedicate it to "Biotech Contest" or just "Bulba." Also, note that donations are passed through WCC's 501c3 affiliate, the Community Alliance for Learning, and are processed by JustGive. Donations are fully tax deductible.)

Finally, here's the link to the 2010 Biotech Stock Picking Charity Contest:
