Simi Reserve Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1986 -
89 points: Decanted some immediately. Lipid with rich red color. First smell: old leather, predictably closed nose. First taste, full with good tannins. Opened up to be voluptuous and flavor rich, berries (especially blue) and cassis.

Let it sit for a couple hours. Vanilla, oak and delicate spices in the glass. Stirred it and got a whiff of grass hay.

Paid less than $28 less than 20 years ago.
