I'm getting ready to start a batch of chili for later. We still have 5-6 inches of snow on the ground and the temp is nearing 30 with beautiful blue skies. My kinda winter day.

Back to the chili. I'm starting with the Bear Creek mix and plan to add a whole red onion, a chopped up bell pepper and another can of chili beans. I saw somewhere about adding some barbecue sauce to chili. Since I'm trying to doctor this batch for better taste, is the BBQ sauce a good idea? I happen to have about half a bottle in the fridge... prolly 6 or 8 ozs. The only chocolate in the house is a couple of Heath bars, so I doubt I'll add those and I have no plans to get the car out.

I DO plan to prime my taste buds with a couple of Scotch shooters before the chili... just so you'll know of that addition.

Hope all had a great Christmas. I had a quiet dinner with my Mom. Just the two of us and it was very nice.
