Obama's not really a nuclear fan. However, what's worse a party that is only for oil and coal or a party that is for renewable energy but not nuclear?

So you have your strawman (party that is only for oil), and you have heroicly slayed it.

AFAIK, there are 2 parties:
1. "all of the above"
2. "let me check with my base what I am for"

I'm a forward looking person and I see this country being too slow to invest in renewable energy.

There are some countries that invested money they did not have too quickly. Spain comes to mind.

I would hope that the US will invest in just the right time.

It will be our undoing, as this is going to be a multi trillion market and we're sitting it out. China isn't.

Making investments into energy in the US can be tricky. You can get shot down way too easily by some Greenepeace like pressure group, losing your investment.
