All the problems and regulatory gaps and lapses that ENABLED and CREATED the global financial crisis and panic and recession are still with us here a bit more then one year later... and haven't been fixed yet. Credit Default Swaps are STILL not regulated by anyone, and the entire problem of 'too-big-to-be-allowed-to-fail' firms periodically holding the entire country hostage to their desires is still with us. Would be CRAZY to go to sleep like none of this stuff ever happened! (That's exactly what the industry lobbyists who are SWARMING over Washington right now... plying the pols with campaign contributions and threats WANT to happen. Crazy to let them win and no reform happen.) Re: "idiot politicians meddling into everything as if they're experts on everything, all they do is take away our freedoms and liberties..." Exactly which 'freedoms and liberties' have you lost recently? (I mean... since you lost legal bits and pieces of your right to privacy and freedom from governmental spying and prying that you had had for centuries... lost back when the Patriot Act was passed?????)
