That's an easy one: By doing what he did, Herostratos got his name into Wiki (and world history) just like Atta and those other bad guys. That's what drives them IMO, the chance of becoming (in-)famous!! All that other BS they - and the libs - produce around this, nothing but bad excuses. ME, ME....and ME right into World History!!!!!!
