John, I made no assumption, that's why I asked the question.

A neighborhood with your described demographic tends to still be in much higher relative demand around here. Woodland Hills might be such a place. Houses tend to run between $400K and $600K for the basic variety, and go higher from there, getting well into the $1 mill+ for custom homes with land or square footage. Nearby Calabasas is a newer community, but houses start around $600K and go to the moon in some of the swankier gated communities.
