That we can't possibly create enough warming (if we are) to cause much damage before we run out of carbon fuels and find alternatives or use the ones we already have.

That an ice age will do far more damage to both plants, animals and people than any modest warming can do. 90% of all species live in the warmest 5% of the earth - only a handful of species live at the poles. Warming is in fact far more supporting of biodiversity than cooling - obviously to a point, but well within the limits we could generate.
