No, we don't. They were invited, courted even. Some, in the beginning, pretended to participate, like Chuck Grassley. A LOT of time was wasted, and compromises made. Eventually, the (R)'s seem to decide to oppose Obama as a block, and to make healthcare his "Waterloo".

But, it's becoming THEIR "Waterloo", since history will record the (R) party opposed en mass yet ANOTHER major initiative to benefit AMERICANS. As per usual.
