To top it up, we built bases in SA, invaded Afghanistan, invaded Iraq, allowed Israel to flatten Lebanon and kill more Palestinians in Gaza. That is called humiliation and humiliation is the fuel/tool for extremists recruitment.
Yet, they create the circumstances for their own humiliation, don't they now?
Few Arab governments have wanted peace with the Israelis. They've only sought "truces" in an ongoing war that will last until they are strong enough to wipe out the Jewish presence in the Middle East. Egypt and Jordan are the two exceptions
And you think only Arabs and Muslims can feel humiliation? We were humiliated on 9/11. How many times have the American people been spit upon, despite the billions of dollars we spend in humanitarian aid and disaster support?
How many times since 1948 have the Israelis offered peace but received only hostility in return, either by sovereign governments, or via their proxies they permit to conduct attacks from their territory?
I'll tell you this.. the Arabs bear a major amount of the blame for their status. They make excuse after excuse after excuse for never making peace with the Israelis. They blame everyone, but themselves, for their humiliation and economic conditions. And then they demand reparations, often extorted, to obtain their cooperation.
In sum, they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. And there will be no peace until they learn to offer the same compromises they demand of their rivals and enemies.
