Efficiencies certainly buy time; OffTTOMYHead, I think we can
cut back about 30% by conservation.

In theory, but I think we missed the boat, and will have to swim like hell for 20 years to catch it. The sun could be considered an infinite source for its lifespan, since total energy falling on the earth far exceeds what we use. There might be a way to make a second peak net, as we convert. It's more like potential energy, which we have to collect to make kinetic energy, or something.
