NXTL's "small niche" includes all U.S. mobil work groups, covering "only" 60 million U.S. workers. Sounds like a niche worth having to me.

McCaw's divorce is yesteryear's news, hardly worth a blip on the screen. Since Mrs. McCaw saw what Craig did with McCaw Cellular, I suspect she's smart enough to realize the potential in NXTL. Otherwise she would have insisted on ca$h. Why bother with Craig's basis which, at current prices, would reduce her bounty?

While no roaming charges are nice, they're not the driving force behind NXTL's success. It's direct connect because every mobil work group can benefit from it while roaming is a considerably smaller niche. In advertising parlance, direct connect is both steak and sizzle; no roaming charges is sizzle to most.

$100 a share takes into account NXTL's realistically achievable penetration. Imho it's too conservative. That's why we'll probably be looking at $150 or more in 3-5 years. I love it when I make mistakes like that.
