I don't think there is any dispute that Gore won the popular vote....however, that is not the way elections are decided under our constitutional republic form of government. The founders decided on this formula for good reasons....and the US Constitution does have mechanisms whereby it can be amended. If there was suport for removing the electoral college, then that would be the way to make sure there were no repeats as to what you view as a problem. However, Bush won fair and square under the system and by the laws which were extant at that time. The bile and sore-loserism shown by so many on the left about 2000 is simply just that....
