We could achieve peace through strength too. We have a reasonably isolate country, geographically speaking. However, we choose not to be peaceable, because we like to stick our noses in everyone's business, even when it doesn't directly impact us. We should let other countries police themselves and only get involved when it impacts us directly.

Here's a thought for all of you. We spend more money on the military than the rest of the world combined, and yet, we seem to have more security problems and more wars than the rest of the world. Doesn't that suggest that we aren't getting the proper return on investment for our dollars spent? It would seem so to me.
