My point exactly. Which was what - that criminals behave badly. It's like putting a lion in a cage with a dear That's deer "dear". Why was a machine gun created? Suppression fire. It was created to kill human beings faster. You still have to aim and reload and what's wrong with that - perfect for home defense. No hunter I know pretends that a machine gun is good for anything else. No GI think's a 28ga or .22lr is good for war either - different tools for different problems. Besides most full auto's are heavy to lug around not to mention all the ammo - you want to preserve the meat with one shot kills not make hamburger. You do know that even a full auto can be fired one round at a time and you only need one round to kill a deer - so any hunter is not required to lug around an entire case of ammo and spare mags when hunting - but the .223 (m-16) is banned for deer hunting (too small to kill effectively) in most states - so it'd have to be an SKS or AK-47 they carry - and scopes just don't look right on those guns. I suppose an FN-FAL could be used, but really heavy. :-)
