That raised a laugh Shades, thanks. C2 the commie socialist. "What?!! Who? Me?!!"

What say you C2? Murderous commie socialist welfare state scum as charged?

ElM is by and large, overall, for the most part, a good bloke [apart from being keen on shooting people in the back, lashing out in rage, allowing that nasty, foul-minded piece of work "box riviere" to post, supporting Jewish genocide, and other crimes against humanity].

You are quite right that he does real work, man's work, stringing fibre and mobile, cyberspace around the planet bringing Qualcomm technology and It to the benighted hordes. While he does real work, TJ nancy boi speculates against speculators, which I hasten to add is useful work and I have defended speculators before as being the most courageous of investors, putting their money where their mouths are to smooth peaks and troughs when others are too scared or irrationally exuberant.

The overthrow of ElM took me by surprise. I still don't know what happened and how it came about. Sometimes I keep an eye on ELM's old place, but it was convenient to ban ElM's stream because I have plenty of things to do otherwise. I gave him 24 hours to apologize to Gib and reinstate him, which of course he didn't do, so ElM suffered the consequences, which turned out to be far more dramatic than I thought.

A real bull wouldn't give up so easily with a few picadores annoying him. Taunting TJ is nowhere near as much fun as taunting ElM. TJ evolved from a repressive culture where hiding from the man with the gun is the norm. 1000s of years of crushing of peasants saw to that. To survive, it was essential to ingratiate oneself with the dynasty power structure or hide in rural penury and be one of the masses keeping a low profile, winning by chance rather than power.

The British Empire freed many, such as TJ's grandfather, from the mindset by good British education in John Stuart Mill and other English thinking, but he bit the hand that fed him and his "success" enabled the murderous Japanese to cause catastrophic carnage.

If China had simply allied widely with the British Empire, they would have done well and avoided the Maoistic mania and a century of suffering in poverty. My grandfather was there offering services to help it happen, working at 1 The Bund, Shanghai [after being in Dalian].

Maoris were far more intelligent and invited the British in, knowing they'd profit from the capital, technology, trade, language and everything else shipped over. Maoris allied with the British and now have a better standard of living than the average Pommy Bastard of today and vastly superior to that of the British of the day who arrived on the shore to carve a life out of the forests.

Maoris saw an opportunity to do well, and took it with both hands. Now, New Zealand isn't even part of Great Britain other than we still have Queen Elizabeth II as head of state and some residual treaties and agreements. But even the Privy Council has gone now. So, effectively, the Maoris kidnapped a swarm of naive foreigners to work in service to them. They continue that operation today. Except it's not really a kidnapping as they were voluntary moves. I could leave [as a fifth of the population has done] if I find it too unpleasant.

It wasn't entirely voluntary to part from Britain though - they kicked us out so they could join the European Economic Community. That's no way to treat family, but they had made their colonies British with full British rights which involved too many swarming into England. Enoch Powell was right that blood would run in the streets - Islamic Jihad Pakistanis see to that.

China won't do well because they think of the population as serfs. Interestingly, they do seem to have achieved some mindless patriotic fervour, as does North Korea, surprising though that might be. It seems to be Stockholm Syndrome writ large. Germans were amenable to that thinking too, in living memory.

China can work for low pay, but there are no Bill Gates, Henry Ford, Irwin Jacobs, Thomas Edison, Andrew Carnegie, Rockefeller, Larry Ellison, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Bobby Fisher, Steve Jobs, figures looming.

Their thinking is to get a lot of money and be a mini emperor, with gold baubles, flakes of gold in champagne, and personal aggrandisement. They don't have a monopoly on that thinking, but they are short on Christian thinking, brotherhood of man, co-operative perspective. Most places are. Most people everywhere still see wealth as something found which other people have which has to be taken one way or another, by hook or by crook.

But look at Bill Gates for example and Warren Buffett and Irwin Jacobs. They are giving away money by the truckload. They didn't earn the money to drink flakes of gold in champagne.

Anyway, this story could go on too long.

The point is, ElM should take back his stream. El Matador, you are no doubt reading this, sucking your thumb and whimpering. Stand up, pull your thumb out. Beat your chest. Yes, even if it feels silly, do it. Smile. Even if you feel glum, smile. Suck in your breath. Now take back your power. Boot that usurper out. Perhaps it seemed a good idea at the time, but it wasn't.

The world needs wild zones where it's thrilling to go adventuring. Without an Amazon where the locals really do shoot you in the back, where's the excitement. Heck, the more daring of us could go there and hunt pirates, taking them hostage and demanding ransom from their families. Being top predator should be profitable.

Personally, I prefer the keyboard and selling mobile cyberspace around the world, bringing peace, light, harmony, happiness, health, prosperity, longevity, fun and love. Being top predator seems an atavistic barbarian occupation suitable for ignorant savages like Aztecs and Spaniards hunting gold.
