LOL. Maybe. I'm not in CA, though. I lived there for a couple years a ways back, so maybe I got contaminated. ;) No really, if I could point to the one thing that is different about me versus the rest of my family is that they all have stayed in Texas all their lives. I am extremely well traveled, partly because of my job, but mostly because my wife and I love to travel and so that's how we spend our money and free time. When you travel alot and meet many different cultures from around the world and see the different perspectives and hear the different opinions, it broadens your mind. Your belief system changes based on that new broader perspective.

How it changed me is that I'm a little more flexible in my thinking and I definitely don't believe in hard line party affiliation anymore. I'd say almost everyone I know from Texas, though, is a hard line Republican. There's no flexibility in their political thinking at all. I know because I debate with them frequently.
