You are right, I don't have an in depth understanding of health care, nor do I have the passion on this issue to really learn a lot more, because no matter what happens, I'll be one of those who can afford the best care.

However, I do know that this health bill increases taxes on gold plated plans and on families making more than $250K. That is one way they pay for the insurance for the extra 30 million people. So it isn't just about cost shifting to insurance companies. If anything, I think the insurance companies are popping the champagne corks, because this bill gives them 30 million new customers by gov't mandate.
