Except that government tests using 5/8 the amount this guy had blew a huge hole in the side of an airliner.

As usual, you haven't a clue what you're talking about. It literally depends on where precisely the damage was done to the aircraft, and given the guy was sitting over a wing, whether that fuel tank was penetrated.

I've heard no credible source say "unlikely", most say, "it depends".
