>>> Your claim that Islam declared war on us is not even close to being correct.

Radical Islam. And, of course, that is precisely what happened or I wouldn't have pointed it out.

>>> "Corresponded with" is over-stating what occurred between Hasan and al-Awlaki. Hasan sent several emails about a variety of topics, mostly about his academic research.

And at least two emails are known to have traveled the other direction. That is "corresponding with" by any measure.

>>> There is no known contact between the crotch bomber and al-Awlaki

That's not what CBS has claimed:

Anwar al Awlaki was also involved in the planning of the attempted bombing of flight #253 on Christmas day. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab told the American government he met Awlaki in Yemen during training for terrorist events according to CBS.

Abdulmatallab is only age 23. He is an example of how al Qaeda is finding young men who are adrift in the world and leading them astray to the path of jihad. The speeches by Anwar al Awlaki online are used as a recruiting tool for Al Qaeda; they are inflaming young men to join the cause of terrorism. Al Qaeda is stealing the lives of young men and using them for their demonic cause of jihad.

And your statement is directly at odds with what the WSJ is reporting:

U.S. investigators have uncovered intelligence "chatter" indicating contacts between Mr. Awlaki, who has been under U.S. intelligence scrutiny for years, and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a wealthy Nigerian who is accused of trying to down Northwest Airlines Flight 253 with explosives hidden in his underwear.

While Mr. Awlaki had been suspected of having contacts with Mr. Abdulmutallab, the evidence firms up those links.

So, as usual, you're wrong.
