"I am fearful that he set the bar really high for future Presidents" The bar has been rising for decades. The biggest difference this cycle was a Democrat was able to out-raise a Republican. That doesn't happen often. Money is a great equalizer in elections. And it shouldn't be. It has been claimed that limiting money in a campaign is limiting free speech. Think this for a moment. The inevitable result of that line of thought is that those with the most money are the ones with the most influence. If you are fine with that, then you are probably also fine with Social Darwinism. And that is the attitude that energizes the ugly side of populism in this country.
