"...If we would just stop meddling where we have no business being, support for terrorists would drop."

Honest to God Mish, I'm surprised at your post. No disrespect here, and I love all the analysis and hard work you do, but this sounds like...If I'm a good boy, my parents will love me. If I sit on my hands and not bother my sister, my parents won't yell at me.

You don't discount the world-wide caliphate theory do you?
You don't discount the radical and violent jihadists' disgust of the Western cultures' tolerance of public pornography.
You don't discount the jihadists' disgust to the West's tolerance, acceptance and mainstreaming of feminist liberation ideas.
You don't discount the jihadists' disgust to the West's tolerance, acceptance and mainstreaming of gay liberation ideology.
You don't discount the possibility that the religion of Islam as practiced by the moderate Muslims has been co-opted by psycho and sociopaths who are hell-bent on perpetrating their awful anti-life vision of existence.
To the extent the jihadist's are rebelling against the real or perceived explotation by Western Corporations of their natural resources, I agree with what you said.

Mish, I'm assuming you have a more complex view of what will slow down support for the radical violent jihadists. No? Yes?

Haps.
