The essence of the matter is NOT how gold has done over which decades. We are living in 2010 and the case for gold in 2010 is quite strong, since governments don't control their printing presses NOW, in this decade. If you magically pushed me back into the 1980's I would certainly not buy gold as there was no inflation to worry about. Seeker of Truth
