If HIV is such a contentious type test, then why didn't triby go with a more mundane test to get the Uni-gold format approval? Seems to me it would have been a much more strategic move. Not necessarily... approval for the first Uni-Gold test is a hurdle regardless of which test it is. Since the FDA is under public pressure wrt. their speed of HIV-related appprovals (see Ron's message), it makes sense for this to be the first submission, precisely because it's such a big deal. At least that's my reading. - nic
