ATI Allegheny Technologies is another good aerospace play. The new dreamliner uses much more titanium in the airframe. TIE is a pure titanium play whereas ATI has titanium production, nickel alloy and superalloy -all essential to jet engine production. TIE was the best performer on the NYSE in 2005 , ATI was the number 2 performer in the S&P 500 in 2006.
