Winter of 2009-2010 Coud be Worst in 25 Years Nearly the entire eastern half of the United States is enduring bitterly cold temperatures not experienced since 1985. New waves of cold air will spread southward from Canada in the coming weeks and could result in this winter rivaling that of 1982 and perhaps 1977-78.
