koan.............being married to a scientist, I am well aware of what a scientist is and how he/she thinks. He is absolutely disgusted over the revelation that "scientists" manipulated data and colluded to create hypothesis that supported their agenda. He is worried that this has sullied the good name and reputation of scientists on whole and that this will block funding for research into worthwhile and honest work.

You don't have to be so insulting.
