What happened to your SIL prof who only makes $50k per year. You seemed to have lost your facts somewhere along the way. May want to call your daughter and ask her what he really does for $50K and where.

Peter<<

He only makes $50,000 a year as he is young. His dad probably made about $150,000 a year, but he was chairman of the statistics department at one of the top ten universities in the country.

His resarch centers around gas isotopes. He is primarily a research scientist, but does teach classes in thermodynamics, climatology and other physics and chemistry classes.

He did receive an invitation to interview for a professorship at Columbia, but it was too far from family. He is just a normal very nice guy. He did get a paid trip to Vienna this fall to present his paper on how formaldahyde is formed in the atmosphere to the scientific community.

My daughter is a lawyer, BCB's friend took her to lunch once, but she stays at home to raise their child/children soon.

He gets up an hour early to get the baby fed and clothed and then either rides his bike to work or takes the bus. One car. When he comes home he helps with dinner and then will often watch the baby while my daughter goes to a movie for a rest.

Good guy. They rent a very modest two bedroom apartment. He is well respected in the scientific comunity. And a very honest and decent person.

He says there is little doubt about AGW.
