The caveat is, like in all changes that since a downgrade is so widely expected there should be little additional move.

So, to the extent that this is not priced in (see EUR/GBP 0.90) this is bearish for the pound. The pound "stabilised" against a weakening EUR but just that.
Only in the event of a $ strength the pound retests low 1.50s.
