I'm of two minds on this. If it keeps up it drives the Reps further into oblivion and that helps Dems across the country. But it also drives our politics further into angry cliches which is a curse for serious governance.

And, worse still, if this stuff gathers in one section of the country, say the South, we have even more serious issues. Said, as I reread my way into Shelby Foote's Civil War series.
