I have to admit that I'm surprised. From the press release and the specs on their web site, it looks like SparQ will be out this month, will be Zip-speed (or perhaps slightly faster), will be 1GB, will be $199, and will have $33 cartridges. That's quite a feat!

What kind of volume will it take for SyQuest to make a profit on this drive, and can they afford to ramp up to that volume?
