Can you please EXPLAIN to me how allowing parents to pull their kids out of failing schools, and allowing school systems to close failing schools, and mandating performance incentives (for good, effective teachers) *and* easier firing of bad/ineffective teachers --- ALL PARTS of the President's national education reform push! --- is "kowtowing to the unions"?????????????????

You are aware, (aren't you Peter?), that the unions are OPPOSED to this?

(Or did you miss that somehow in your rush to presuppose?)
