This thread has my vote as the greatest permabear thread on SI. I say great because almost all the predictions of the moderator came true. I was a bullish polyanna back then and the lone bull amongst a pack of wolves. That thread ended tragically for most of the participants because they became bearish too early. I fought them all initially, but eventually came to realize that the moderator would be proven right. It was just a matter of timing and fortunately for me, I woke up from my dogmatic bullish slumber before it was too late. There is nothing holy about my views and that's why I constantly subject them to vicious attack.
