Well, Beck trends right, he is Mormon after all. But he main claim to fame is being a rabid conspiracy fan. There isn't a conspiracy theory too wacky for him to ignore. In that respect, he isn't hard right. For example, at one point he was had a chart showing the various corporations he thinks is controlling US politics. That isn't a hard right cause, although it is one that appeals to the Tea Baggers. Beck often comes off as hard right because the hard right spawns a lot of wacky conspiracy theories.
