He's definitely not a gambler. A gambler would instictively understand that going from $100K starting point to $200k is a 100% gain not 200%. :-)

But if I would only increase my 2nd portion per your example it would only be $250 x 100%= $250.

I am a gambler, but some bets are worth losing.
