if your point is that we are at war only to benefit the oligarchs and that our wars will INCREASE terrorism in the US - then yes, i'm making your point.
EVERY WAR benefits the corporations. It benefits the farmers. It benefits the Morticians. It benefits the miners. It benefits the petroleum industry. And it certainly benefits the bankers.
It has always been that way. And I wish to hell we didn't have to fight wars because young men and woman, and ultimately even children, are forced to pay the ultimate price.
Now maybe you, and others, believe that all of this Islamic Militancy is nothing more than some global corporate conspiracy. Who's to say? Maybe they are just as much "puppets on a string" unwittingly doing the bidding of some competing corporate cabal. Maybe Russia, China, and more likely, Pakistan, is employing and financing them.
And maybe we're puppets too of some grand counter corporate conspiracy.
But here's an analogy for you..
What if some corporate cabal hired some gang leader to use his band of thugs to terrorize your neighborhood, hoping to make a profit off the unregulated Credit Default Swaps they purchased on your township's municipal bonds.
And maybe, to boot, they also own all the local "guns and ammo" shops, making money selling to both sides.
Are you going to just ignore that gang? Sit in your house hoping the violence passes you by.
Do you refuse to defend yourselves, or deny the police the chance to arrest them for fear it would antagonize the ghettos from which these gangs are operating? Do you hire your own gang (mercenaries) to "protect" your neighborhood?
Are you going to attack the "Guns & Ammo" shop, citing how they are profiteering over the gang war? Do you attack the local banks?
So come up with all the conspiracy theories you want. I have to focus on both the "tactical" and "strategic" situation. That involves finding the "gangsters" and neutralizing them, while strategically attempting to rectify the causal factors that lead to be in this gang.
