>> But the quotes Mindmeld posted don't bother you???

No, because they are out of context. Take for example, the quote on Katrina "survivors".

But his comments are totally appropriate and understandable. While we all feel sorry for the victims, a "small percentage" (Beck's words) are "scumbags". Now, I spend a LOT of time in NOLA, both now and around the time of Katrina, and he nailed it. The crime there is rampant. The crime that moved to Houston was rampant. And I can tell you that many of the victims were taken in by the small city in which I live and there were multiple rapes and murders committed by these sorry excuses for humans that were taken in and given an opportunity to make a new start by extremely generous people.

As I said, Beck is unusual and if you aren't bright you won't get it (that rules you out), and if you don't listen closely to the entire bit you won't get it (and I'm sure that does, as well). You can't merely read some quote taken out of context because you WILL be offended. That's the business he's in.

Beck is a great American, but stupid people have a difficult time with him.
