My problems just went hyper. Not the monitor. I just got 7 blue screens of death. A call to Dell resulted in reinstalling the factory settings, etc. So, the disk has been formatted. I have a NOrton ghost 10 backup on my external drive. And just last night I did an incremental one. I lost little to no data -- in theory.

In order to restore the computer to what it was last night, I need to boot off the Norton CD. When I do, that results in another blue screen with a "stop:0x7b"

That refers to the device drivers for the DVD rom I have to use to boot with. I want to upgrade Ghost 10 to 15 with a download instead of waiting for a CD by mail. But how can I boot off the downloaded program which is not on a CD? Can I create a CD with that upgraded program? Does anyone know?

I can't work until this is fixed.
