I sympathize with your position, but like it or not Jim, it's now a global economy. I doubt most of the components on the computer you're posting from were made exclusively in the USA. Last Monday should have removed any doubt about the interdependence of world economy as it removed much equity from many people...one of them being me.

Clinton is positioning to hand the torch down to Gore so he wants to pander his geopolitical good will and insure a favorable position for the Democrats. He's a politician and I really don't think he gives a damn that the money could be better spent domestically as long as it strengthens his image and future position as an amorous elder statesman. >:-)

That being said, you didn't answer my question which was, "Does anyone think the 3 Billion Clintion is offering will have a positive impact
on [referring to S3] this industry?"
