The idea that the pols have to be part of the same system that the people are, should be a no brainer to everyone. I think that the republicans could win on that one alone. Same healthcare options, same retirement options...This is something that dems and reps should be able to agree on.

Same with the term limits. This country was founded on the idea that politicians do their service and then go back to their lives and careers. Certainly not the lifetime politicians that we have now.
