People who let their irrational fears control them are really limiting their lives. I talk to a family friend a few nights ago and he drives a few time to Sun Valley every winter. He mentioned in our conversation that he hasn't been in a plane in over 50 years - ever since the one he was flying in crashed in a lake. Four passengers - two survivors. Hasn't limited his life much as he is 88 I think and is still skiing.
