I agree with your post. BTW, tejek, on a different topic, you and I talking about Muslims the other day. I was expressing doubts this theory that most Muslims are peace-loving, which sounds horrible. However, I keep thinking about how the average Muslim in the Middle East reacts with glee anytime there is some terrorism against the US. I think Americans need to drop the politically correct charade of expressing the idea the Middle East Muslims are peace loving. The facts consistently tell a different story. Therefore, I think it is completely plausible that we should start profiling at airports based on race and religion. Looking at the problem using statistics, it's a no-brainer. How many non-Muslim airplane terrorists have there been in the last couple of decades? None that I can remember. Here's yet another example of the man on the street being proud of terrorism:

CIA suicide attacker's wife 'shocked' but proud
cnn.com

The wife of an alleged suicide bomber who killed eight people at a U.S. base in Afghanistan last week says she is shocked by his actions but "proud" of what he did.

Defne Bayrak, the Turkish wife of Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi -- a Jordanian doctor identified as the attacker -- said she doubted accusations her husband had been an intelligence agent, but was satisfied he did not die in vain.

"I am proud of my husband. My husband accomplished a very big operation in such a war," she told reporters. "If he is a martyr, may God accept his martyrdom."
