That's silly. Obama has never apologized for fighting terrorism. He just recognizes that in the war on terror, we have to fight it with words, ideology, economically, in addition to militarily. Bush only understood the military part.

As far as letting people out of Gitmo to become AQ in Yemen, I don't like it one bit. So you should be asking yourself why Bush let these folks go too, because the ones he released also had a high rate of recidivism.

Here's my position on these Gitmo terrorists. I wouldn't release them. I do want Gitmo shut down, because it is symbolically a very bad thing. But I want every one of those bastards locked up for life somewhere else. And lastly, I think it is a very big mistake to afford any non-American citizen a trial in an American court. I think they should all be tried in a military tribunal, which is completely consistent with precedents set in prior wars and was purpose built to handle these types of things.
