First, we went hard right under Bush, then now we're hard left. I really long for the days of center right

That we are hard left is the media's take on things. The media is center right.....always has been. Individual reporters may be liberal but their employers are right......some hard right. Only McClatchy papers is liberal. So then, the media owners are telling their people to sell the country on the notion we have moved hard to the left. We haven't. Obama has moved us to the center. Ask any liberal....hell, ask Z......they are furious at Obama. He presented as liberal so they thought he would rule as a liberal. Instead, he's dead head center.

MM, the only way to survive this era......you can't listen to Rs and you can't pay too much attention to what the American media is saying. In 2002, I stopped relying on the American press and began reading the Brit press to get the truth. Now I rely on leftie bloggers......WA Monthly, 538, etc. They may be biased in their views but they are smart enough to know they have to stick with the truth when reporting the news.

Bottomline: this country has been center right and continues to be center right....for now. I think that will change in the next decade as the Rs continue to implode. This stuff is important. The smart people need to get this sh*t right if we are to survive this era.
