Yes, it's possible. Some Fed members favored that. Bennyboy
is running the Fed as a democracy, so everyone has a say
in the matter. That is different from Soylent Green, who
was essentially a Fed "dictator". Not that the Fed can
do anything about the economic mess they got us all into.
Sure, they can print some more, the mess will transform,
stocks will rise some more and the currency will drop, but the
economy will remain crappy. If they resort to printing
as a solution, they will drive us into a much bigger mess.
Personally, I don't know what they will do, but I tend
to agree with you, they will resort to printing. Given
the budget shortfall, they will likely have no other choice.
The Administration is determined and possibly ill-advised
to "spend us out" of the mess. That is because our previous
experience with the mess was deflation. We have not
experienced hyperinflation since the Continental. -ng-
